Transparency and corrections
Editorial Policy
This policy explains how NookPlan selects topics, checks calculations, uses assistive tools, and corrects errors. Last updated August 5, 2026.
Topic selection
We cover practical questions that arise while measuring rooms, estimating materials, or planning furniture. A publishable topic needs a defined task, useful inputs, a checkable relationship, or a repeatable field method. We do not publish a page solely to target a search phrase.
Source and calculation checks
Basic geometry is recalculated with at least two examples and checked for unit conversion, boundary values, and rounding order. Product-specific claims should rely on current manufacturer documentation or an applicable public standard, with its conditions made clear. Parameters we cannot establish universally remain editable assumptions.
First-hand material
A test, photograph, or case study is described as first-hand only when the operator completed it and retained the underlying record. Diagrams are labelled by context and are not presented as real construction photographs. We do not invent testimonials, credentials, testing, or commercial relationships.
AI and automated assistance
Automated tools may help identify spelling problems, code defects, broken links, or structural issues. They do not replace factual review. Before publication, the operator checks every assisted passage for formulas, scope, sources, and plain meaning. Each field note includes a distinct worked record and reference list so its practical value can be assessed directly. NookPlan does not publish unattended batches of generated pages.
Advertising and commercial content
Advertising does not influence topic selection or calculator logic. Sponsorship, affiliate links, samples, or other commercial relationships will be disclosed near the start of the relevant page. A commercial partner cannot buy a positive conclusion or remove a reasonable limitation.
Corrections and material revisions
Minor spelling and layout fixes may not receive a separate note. Changes to a formula, condition, or core conclusion update the page date. Send corrections to 2456807201@qq.com with the page URL and evidence that can be checked.
Removing content
Content that can no longer be verified, is materially outdated, or could create a safety misunderstanding is revised, merged, or removed. Where practical, removed pages redirect to a more useful resource rather than remaining as thin pages built around advertising.
