Why we built NookPlan

Material and furniture estimates often arrive as a final quantity with no record of the measurements, deductions, waste allowance, or rounding behind it. When two quotes disagree, that makes comparison difficult. NookPlan separates field readings, assumptions, formulas, and limits so a homeowner can review the reasoning before buying anything.

What we publish

We publish browser-based calculators and task-focused field notes about measuring rooms, estimating materials, checking furniture routes, and planning clearances. We choose topics that can be explained with a repeatable process, basic geometry, or a useful recording method.

Every field note includes a reproducible worked record, a verification boundary, and links to the specific external references used. The NookPlan Editorial Desk page describes the review sequence and the limits of the organisational byline.

What we do not provide

NookPlan does not provide structural, electrical, gas, waterproofing, fire-safety, or other professional engineering advice. We cannot remotely guarantee that furniture will fit or that an order quantity will be sufficient. Results are for early budgeting and planning, and do not replace a site check, a layout plan, or qualified safety advice.

Editorial and commercial independence
